The Argus AI Messaging Program
These SMS Terms and Conditions (the “SMS Terms”) govern the Argus AI text-message program (the “Program”) operated by Argus Vision, Inc. (“Argus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) as part of the Argus platform, an artificial-intelligence operating system for retail. By enrolling in the Program you agree to these SMS Terms, our Terms of Service, and our Privacy Policy.
Messages You May Receive
When you enroll, Argus may send you recurring text messages relating to your account and the operation of your stores, which may include:
- Loss-prevention and security incident alerts generated by the Service.
- Account, billing, and subscription notices (for example, trial reminders and payment notifications).
- Operational notifications about your devices, agents, and the Service, including messages an Argus operator sends you about your account.
- Security and verification messages, such as one-time verification codes, where you use those features.
The Program is used to send service and account messages. We will not send you marketing or promotional text messages unless you provide separate, express written consent to receive them.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies and depends on your account, your settings, and activity at your stores. Many messages are triggered by events (such as an incident detection), so the number of messages you receive may differ from period to period.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Argus does not charge you for the messages themselves, but your mobile carrier may charge for sending and receiving text messages according to your plan. Argus is not responsible for any such charges.
How You Enroll (Consent)
You enroll in the Program when you provide your mobile number and affirmatively opt in to text messages — for example, by enabling SMS notifications in your Argus dashboard or by providing your number and agreeing to these SMS Terms. Your enrollment is your consent to receive the recurring messages described above at the number you provide. Enrolling in service and account messages is not a condition of purchasing or using the Argus platform.
You represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number you provide, or that you are authorized to enroll it, and you agree to notify us if you stop using that number.
How to Opt Out
You can opt out of the Program at any time. The easiest way is to reply STOP to any message from the Program (you may also reply CANCEL, END, QUIT, UNSUBSCRIBE, or OPT-OUT). You may also turn off SMS notifications in your Argus dashboard, or contact us using the details below. We honor opt-out requests made by any reasonable means.
After you opt out, we will send a single message confirming that you have been unsubscribed, and then we will stop sending you Program messages. We act on opt-out requests promptly and, in any event, within the time required by applicable law. To re-enroll later, reply START or turn SMS notifications back on in your dashboard.
How to Get Help
For help with the Program, reply HELP to any message, or contact Argus at business@useargus.co. A HELP reply will provide the Program name and a way to reach our support team.
Eligibility
The Program is intended for business users in the United States who are at least 18 years old and who are account holders or authorized personnel of an Argus customer. It is available on participating mobile carriers; carriers are not required to participate and may change their supported services.
Delivery and Carriers
Message delivery is subject to the technical limitations of your device and your mobile carrier’s network. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Argus does not guarantee that any message will be delivered, delivered on time, or delivered to a particular device, and you should not rely solely on text messages for time-sensitive or safety-critical decisions. Important information is also available in your Argus dashboard.
Privacy
Your privacy matters to us. The mobile information you provide for the Program — including your phone number and your consent — is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your mobile information, and we will not share your mobile opt-in consent or phone number with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We share it only with the service providers that help us deliver the messages, and only for that purpose. See the Mobile Messaging (SMS) section of our Privacy Policy for details.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued enrollment in the Program after the changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised SMS Terms.
